Paillettes are sometimes also referred to as sequins, spangles or diamantes. In costuming, sequins have a center hole, while spangles have the hole located at the top. Paillettes may be stitched flat to the fabric, so they do not move, and are less likely to fall off; or they may be stitched at only one point, so they dangle and move easily, catching more light.
Swarovski Elements Sew-On Stones are loose crystal elements that can be sewn by hand or machine onto any type of textile or accessories. When sewing the Molecule Lochrose, synthetic multifilament threads with a thread count of Nm 80 are most suitable because of their abrasion resistance.
